Manisha i Shanti są siostrami. Gdy trafiły pod naszą opiekę, Shanti mogła mieć około 9 lat, a Manisha około 5 lat. Obydwie są upośledzone umysłowo. Spędzały czas na stacji kolejki w Darjeelingu, na peronie. Ich rodzice pracują dorywczo, są bardzo biedni, mieszkają w slumsach. Obie dziewczynki bardzo nam pomagają w opiece nad nowoprzybyłymi dziećmi. Obecnie uczęszczają do naszej szkoły na zajęcia podstawowe skrócone do połowy dnia oraz na szkolenie zawodowe.

Shanti and Manisha are sisters. Shanti must have been about 9 yrs. old and Manisha about 5 yrs. old when they came under our care. Both are mentally retarded. They used to spend their days on the platform of the railway station in Darjeeling. Their parents are daily labourers, very poor and living in the slum area of Darjeeling. Both the girls are great helpers to us, taking care of the new comers. At present they attend to our school for half a day basic tuition and vocational training.
