Mingma miała około 9 lat, gdy znalazła się pod naszą opieką. Jest upośledzona umysłowo i fizycznie. Pochodzi z odległej wioski w interiorze. Od najmłodszego wieku była zaniedbywana przez rodzinę i pozostawiana samej sobie. Większość czasu spędzała z małpami chodząc z nimi wokół i porywając ludziom jedzenie z domów. W rezultacie, nabyła od małp zachowania dotyczące jedzenia, ruchów, dźwięków. Jadła tylko surowy pokarm, skakała na różne wysokości, gdy chciała na przykład usiąść na szczycie otwartych drzwi lub na półce. Powoli oduczyła się większości tych nawyków, nie potrafi jednak mówić. Rozumie proste polecenia, jest świadoma środowiska, w którym żyje, ma swoje preferencje. Lubi muzykę, porusza się zgodnie z rytmem, lubi robić hałas. Chętnie też przebywa w towarzystwie dzieci.

Mingma was about 9 yrs. old when she came under our care. She is mentally and physically challenged. She comes from a remote village in the interior. From the small age she was neglected by her family, left to herself so she used to live most of the time with monkeys, going around with them and snatching the food from people’s homes. As a result she acquired much behaviour of monkeys, like eating habits, movements, sounds. She used to eat raw food only, walk with support of hands, and jump to different levels if she wanted to for example sit on the top of the open door or on the shelf. Slowly she ‘unlearned’ most of these habits; however she is not able to speak. She understands simple commands, is aware of the environment in which she lives, recognizes people, has her preferences. She likes music and moves her body according to the rhythm, and likes to make noise. She likes to be in the company of children.
